written by Shaunna Hall, inspired by the Chabot Science & Space museum in Oakland, CA, and a friend who was just about to bottom out on over-indulgence. A cautionary tale. Belita cut her vocals in the old Peach Tree hotel in Atlanta, CA, and Kendra cut her's in a Los Angeles hotel room, I can't remember which one.
Lige Curry cut this bass line in a Ramada Inn in Huntsville Alabama, where we were waylaid for a week by a hurricanes in Florida. Lige recorded this, as well as his parts for Sweet Leef 2006. He did two takes, and I kept the first take, as it was played. Bernie Worrell was coming in and out if the room giving his two cents throughout the session. Another true artistic collaboration with the P-Family..
