This track was written initially with Becky Wreck who sang it in Dogg Ass, a power trio from 2000-2001. We built upon here chorus hook, "Everythang was cool at the party, 'til you came in actin' so naughty...", and additional writing from lead vocalist Lisa Cash on verses, Kendra Foster with a B-Hook, and LaShonda Clinton aka Sativa Diva's rap, really brought this song to life. I think Lisa Cash sent me her vocal tracks, and everything else was engineered and recorded by me, Shaunna Hall, aka Electrofunkadelica, capturing Sativa and Kendra on tour, at the hotel, on an off day. We had a mobile-motown-style production percolator on the road, between 2002-2006 or 7, several of us brought our mobile rigs out on tour, and on the off-days, there were two or three studios, a couple writers rooms, and a mixing session happening throughout our hotel, with folks moving from room to room, writing, laying down parts , "I got a part, lemme try this...", writing lyrics, jamming, etc. A song like this, that was started at a DIY studio at Downtown Rehearsal in LA, and then blossomed into a true P-Funk collaboration, is a good example to the art that came from those rooms.
